Hey ya'll!

We are the Nevlida family. My wife Laura, our son Calihan and me, Johan. We currently reside here in Houston, Texas. Thanks to the support of our family members and community, we have officially launched our Non-profit Salamesa (Tagalog for "at the table"). 

My wife and I met in 2018 during our 11 month mission trip through an organization called the Worldrace. We packed our 60lb backpacks and traveled to the rural areas of 11 countries. We worked with different local non-profits and Christian-based organizations, meeting the needs of the community. This ranged from teaching English, Building houses and churches, working with schools, orphanages, community outreach, providing aid and spreading the good news. This is where we fell in love with international missions and we knew we would eventually step into this role again. 

Growing up in what used to be a small town, San Jose Del Monte Bulacan, Philippines, has now grown into one of the larger towns in the area, and there are needs to be met. Here we are seven years later and the Lord has provided us with an opportunity to serve again.

MISSION

Our organization derived its heart from Luke 14:13 and Matthew 10:13-16. We strive to provide kids in the community with various activities and outlets that we believe are beneficial to their developmental growth. We want to provide a space where kids are able to learn new skills, feel empowered and encouraged with a brighter future.

VISION

We want to see kids grow into their God-given gifts and talents. We want to give hope for their futures and to show that they are valued. As our organization grows, we want to eventually extend our reach to helping families with financial needs and meet other needs within the community.
